The HMV® brand (named in honor of ‘His Master’s Voice’) is set to launch by Q2 of 2022 and will showcase the company’s new abilities in manufacturing and development of personal computers, smartTVs, tablets, and more. “I guess we’ve got a responsibility to the Victor legacy in Camden County to give silicon valley a run for its money”, CEO Graham Alexander laughed. “The reality is, we’re all about music..and this is an expansion of that. The Victor plant in Camden, NJ is the birthplace of the music and home entertainment industry and we’ve got opportunity to expand our offerings to the public which will garner more capital for use in music projects which is a critical element of our musical mission. Its a no brainer, for us, because in many ways; while the smartTV and computer sectors aren’t as _directly_ musical as our Victor Home Audio Electronics sector, they’re critical in 2021 for the music industry, which is why we’re making these products with a focus on musicians, artists, and creative end users.”. The Victor legacy in Camden, NJ is vast and includes the birth of the entire modern music and home entertainment industry through the Victor Talking Machine Co.’s invention and development of the disk record and record player (later branded with ‘Victrola®’, the most popular home audio brand of all time) later on, the Victor division was critical in the development and introduction of the radio, television, computers, global communication (the internet) and more. HMV® brand will seek to claim this part of the Victor legacy, and utilize its revenue stream to bolster the music industry in accordance with the Victor Company’s mission statement. Victor will launch HMV® through its existing brisk and mortar retailers, catalog, e-commerce platform (ShopVictor), and Amazon marketplace with direct sales at the brand’s website (www.HisMastersVoice.com).
